WHAT IT IS
Laser tattoo removal is a precise, clinic-based procedure that uses controlled high-intensity laser energy to shatter tattoo pigment into microscopic particles, which are then gradually eliminated by your body’s lymphatic and immune systems, resulting in visible fading of the tattoo. This process is tailored to each individual tattoo — its colour, depth, age and location — and typically requires a series of treatments for optimum results.
At Cosmetic Ink by Sim, I use an Nd: YAG Q-switched laser, a proven device for effectively treating both black and many coloured inks.

WHAT TO EXPECT IN TREATMENT
Multiple sessions required: Most tattoos need several sessions spaced 8–10 weeks apart to reach the best result.
Comfort measures: Clients are advised to apply a pharmacy-sourced numbing cream approximately one hour before their appointment. Cooling is used during treatment to maximise comfort.
Aftercare: You’ll receive clear aftercare instructions and support to promote healing and reduce the risk of complications.

I completed formal laser tattoo removal training, including hands-on supervised practical experience in a Perth laser clinic, and hold the appropriate certification and laser licence required to practise in Western Australia.
All certifications and licences are held in accordance with the Radiological Council of Western Australia requirements and are available for viewing upon request.
